New Years Goals :2015

Well Beautiful People... We have successfully ( almost ) made it through the crazy, insane year that was 2014. This year has been arguably one of the best years of my life. I can only hope that 2015 will be able to top it. I mean with movies like Pitch Perfect 2 coming out its promising to be a great one. I've always struggled with whether making New Years Resolutions was worth my time or not. But as I'm starting to realize, looking back at my old posts, I've changed a lot. My voice on this blog, this blogs purpose, the content, it really has progressed. So by writing this post, I can only hope that when I look back at it I will be able to say I successfully accomplished these things. It will be my accountability partner.

Lets Do This Thing!

1. Read My Bible: If you have read my 50 facts about me post you will know that I am a Christian. In my faith walk, I feel like this is my missing link. I just have never made a real effort to read it.

2. Express my Faith: Writing that last blurp (?) I have realized that I don't share much about my faith on this blog. I think I have just been afraid to ,because in this new world that we live in nobody wants to offend anybody or force anything on anyone. But I feel like, the relationship between reader and blogger, has the exact same qualities as a friendship, and I definitely voice my faith to my friends!

3. Be Vocal about my Anxiety: This is a topic that I never really touch on. For one it's very hard to talk about. After reading Lauren Conrad's book I realize that Beauty encompasses your entire body inside and out. With this platform it's easy to reach out to people, and that is what I want to do. ( If you want a post on Anxiety you know what to do).

4. Really Strive to Make this Blog The Best it Can Be: This summer, I feel like I really found my voice and made really good content. I definitely have been slacking and I sincerely apologize. I want to do better, I really do. I recently received the 2014  Teen Vogue Handbook this Christmas and it really made me start to wonder if I could actually pursue this as a career.

Pause: LISTENING TO BLANK SPACE RIGHT NOW!!! LOVE THIS SONG OH MY GUMDROPS

If you want a book review on that book I would love to do that! It was really inspirational and chalked full of amazing information.

5. Keep Working on my YouTube Channel: In this new technological age all types of social media are really exploding. I love that each one hosts a different voice. I can express myself in totally different ways and I think that's amazing.

6. Really educate myself on my heath: Like I mentioned before I really enjoyed "Beauty" by Lauren Conrad and I have kind of been inspired to figure out what will make my body feel truly good. I did gymnastics for about 11 years and it really took a toll on my body + I dance a lot now so that doesn't make it feel any better. I eat like a pig and I have really don't care if I eat 15 cookies in one sitting. What can I say I am a sucker for chocolate chip cookies ( just look at my twitter bio @fabulouslyme21) And I know everyone makes this promise but I want to see if I can actually do it (this time)!

7.  Let It Go!  This year I just want to live. I want to live and love and not be afraid to fall flat on my face. I want to dive in head first and try things that scare me. ( OH GOSH WHAT DID I JUST GET MYSELF INTO )

8,  Work on my Smile: I love beauty and fashion ( if you didn't know that already) but I have noticed I'm not really all that into caring for my teeth. A good smile is something I look for in a potential partner so why wouldn't I want to have one too.

9.  Work on My Music: Another topic I never really address on this blog. I am a musician! I play the guitar and the piano. I also sing. I love to write but haven't done much lately and this year I really want to get back to that.

10. I want to say that at the end of the year that I am genuinely happy: This year my life will 99.9 % be changing drastically. While I am scared and sad, I am excited to embark on a new journey and see what wonderful opportunities unfold!

Ending on that (mysterious) note, I want to tell all of you I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH! What an amazing year! Together we can strive to make this one " FABULOUS" year ;)

Lauren Conrad Beauty: Book Review

I hope you all had an amazing holiday season filled with happiness, great smells, and hopefully no family drama ( as unbelievable as that seems to be). My Christmas was amazing and I was so fortunate to be surrounded by family members that I haven't seen in a long time.

On Christmas morning bright and early, all of us kids got around the tree and tore open the presents we had waited all year to receive. One of the gifts I received was Lauren Conrad's book entitled "Beauty". I hadn't asked for this gift so I was very surprised when I received it. This book was written in 2012 by Mrs. Lauren Conrad herself. This TV personality, fashion designer, and now author, dishes on all the Beauty secrets she has learned over the years from being on set. From skin care to party looks, she's included it all. She also strives to bring forth a powerful message on inner beauty and intentionally leaves in all the embarrassing beauty blunders she has made in her beauty journey. Her quirky personalty flows through the entire book. I flew through the book in a day! I couldn't put it down. I love her writing style and the tips in this book were extremely helpful! I'm positive that I will be referencing this book almost every day.
Here are some photos from the book:

Naked 2 Basics First Impression

Hey Guys!

So if you didn't know today is my birthday! I am fifteen years old and today I received my first Urban Decay product from my momma. ( THANK YOU MOM!) So of course I had to blog about it!

There are 6 colors in this pallet. They are all cool toned and matte shades. All the colors in this pallet are very pigmented and just stunning. The first two colors are very similar to my skin tone so they will be great for highlighting, The basis for the pallet is that all these tones can be used  as base shadows for any look or you can use them together. I imagine I will be using this quite a lot. It seems great for traveling and I'm very excited to get to work!

Formal Events 101

Take your seats because class is in session! My church's youth group is dressing up in all formal attire, going to golden corral (ironically) and then having like a red carpet event back at the church. So today I'm going to give to you my Ultimate Guide for Having the Best Formal Event Ever ( title in progress.

First off lets start with the makeup! Doing my makeup for formal events is always fun because you can go really fancy with contouring and eyeliner ( which I don't do on an everyday basis). For events like this I really like to focus on my eyeballs!I really feel they are one of my best features so I always make sure to play them up! Oh wait why would I tell you when I can just show you!

For My Hair:
I really like using a wand to curl my hair for events. This gives my hair a lot of volume and is super easy to use. It comes with a protective glove which I probably should use but...

THE DRESS:

1.Pick a dress that really compliments your figure without being all about skin ( unless your into that sort of thing). I really like to pick dresses that bring out my inner sparkle!

2. Really think about what the location and event calls for. If your going out to eat before white may not be the best option. If you are going to wear white maybe bring a super large jacket so you wont harm your beautiful dress.

3. Being the fabulous person you are, you are most likely going to be invited to many events in your time. I am all for splurging for things like prom and your wedding day, but you can be bold on a slightly smaller price tag. I find apps like amazon and Zulily have amazing deals all the time on dresses and other items.

The Clutch:

A small purse or clutch on hand is ESSENTIAL! This is going to be your ultimate lifesaver!
During the big night of dancing and eating ( and eating and eating and eating) your going to be in need of some touch ups. Some things you should always bring:

1. Oil blotting sheets:
Make sure to do this before powdering because powder on top of oil can look cakey and well...

OH MY GOODNESS DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY HAVE LATE NIGHT SHOWINGS OF ALL THE OLD DISNEY SHOWS!!!!!

2. Pressed Powder: I like my orange pressed powder from Physicians formula.

3. Lipstick

4. Your cellphone: in case of emergency ( or awkward situations.)

5. Feminine Hygiene Products: enough said...

Rules of Events:
1. Have the best time of your life
2. Make Some Memories
3. HAVE FUN!

Blogiversary

Hey Guys!

So today is a very special day in the history of this blog!!! Today is the one year anniversary of my blog! I can't tell you how much it means to me that you , yeah you, read this blog. And whether you've been with me through the beginning or you've just started reading I'm so happy that you have embarked on this amazing journey with me. When I started this blog I had recently gotten really into YouTube and at the time I was too young to start a channel. I really loved reading fashion websites like teen vogue and Seventeen and I thought it would be really cool to start my own blog. In sixth and seventh grade I honestly really felt like the ugly duckling. My friends were always popular and beautiful and in my eyes I never measured up. I had braces, crazy short hair, I had to have my eyebrows waxed frequently or I would get a Unibrow ,bad highlights, no boobs, I was nothing. I really just felt like I never really fit in. To top it off I was a competitive gymnast and I was at the gym for 16 hours every week. Because I worked out so frequently I had large muscles and a six pack. Most people want muscles right? Well at the time wear everyone is become a young lady, I honestly felt like a man girl. The summer before eighth grade I quit the sport that controlled my life. for a lot of reason( but that's another story). I was constantly struggling to figure out what I was now that I wasn't the "gymnast girl". That's when I really got into YouTube. It really help me get back in touch with the fashionable side of me that had been lost for long. That school year ,I got there the first day a changed girl. I was more confident, I felt beautiful, I could take on the world! People definitely noticed the change. The December I started my blog it was a snow day. My friend Flo and I decided to grab a couple outfits together and do a photo shoot outside.Click here to check out my first blog post ever! I needed to share it with someone! That's when I started my blog. Then I forgot about it for a while...

The May of 2014 I was talking to this guy ( who I honestly kind of liked ) and we were talking about we wanted to do when we grew up. He said " I could just see you as one of those people that tell everyone one what they should be wearing and what the new trends are". I was like oh my goodness! That's when I really got into blogging. I'm not saying you should ever do something just to get a guy , but hey he was pretty good looking! Besides the reason as to why I started again isn't important. That summer I blogged almost everyday! When I got to a 100 page views I was over the moon! I couldn't people my blog was visited 100 times! Now with 3688 page views (as I am writing this) 5 registers followers, a YouTube Channel with 17 subscribers, and a much more positive outlook on life I am finally taking a step in the right direction.

I'm looking forward to continuing my blog and growing my reader base. I want to improve this blog so it can be the best that it can be ,but the thing is I am very sad. I am constantly reaching out to my readers asking them to comment for ideas, to answer questions, to ask questions, the only post that got a few comments was on my body image post. Today I wanted to do a Q and A as a little gift to you all, but I didn't receive any questions...

If you ever feel like commenting I want to encourage you! I want to talk with you and be there for you and be your friend. I have posted a poll on the main page of my blog and you should vote! Okay all you beautiful people I love you, I wouldn't be where I am today without you, and I thank you from the bottoms of my heart ❤️ Stay Fabulous ❤️

TREND ALERT: Shaggy Fur Vest

My winter wardrobe always calls for an absolute need for layering, mostly to do to with the (literally) freezing temperatures. Unfortunately this can sometimes result in me looking like a marshmallow or a snow man ( not that I have anything against snowmen....OLAF!). You have to find the right balance between the need for warmth and the need for style. I already talked about the return of the turtleneck but I have spotted another trend on the rise.

The "shaggy fur" vest as like to call it is actually quite a stunning piece I have to say. It really catches your eye and it is the perfect statement piece to top of any winter look. This vest is great for the edgy ,eclectic girl and the fashionista alike. Personally, I feel like I would get so distracted by the movement of it and knowing myself I would probably would get it all wet and dirty. These vests have always symbolized high fashion but now they are making their way into junior fashion as well. I love that high fashion is influencing the younger generation. Love Ya <3 Stay Fabulous <3

Turkey Day :)

I know I have a couple readers coming from different countries however for us Americans, Thanksgiving, or "Turkey Day" as I like to call it is just around the corner and I would like to take the time and reflect what I am most thankful for. For one thing I am so extremely thankful to have a loving and supportive family. They are so awesome and I love them so much! I am thankful for my church family and my theater family and all of my friends. The friends I have met this year are so amazing and fun and really truly excepting. They see me for me and they really don't care how insane I am on two cups of coffee :). Of course I am also thankful for the friends who have stuck with me through and through. Some friends may come and some friends may go , but the friends who ACTUALLY are their are the friends you need to keep.

The list goes on and on but I also wanted to express my thanks for You guys who have been their from the very beginning! I know I lost a lot of readers when school started and that's okay ( I really hope they find their way back). This summer was probably the best ones I have ever had. I loved blogging almost everyday. I wish I still had that opportunity ( and the free time). But you guys have just kept me going and I want to give something back to you!

Lets talk!
I want to reach out to you. I really want to converse with my readers. In the comments section below, ask me your questions. It can be about anything at all! Keep it you know...PG... please :)

Happy Thanksgiving all of You Beautiful People!

TURTLENECKS?!?

I never ever ( EVER) been a fan of the turtleneck. To me they always seemed so constricting, and well very nerdy. Honestly whenever I saw someone wearing one I thought of Howard Wolowitz. Then one day it all changed for me and I fell in love. That's right people the turtleneck is back, and just in time for the cold weather.

\LITERALLY TODAY WAS BELOW FREEZING!
ouat animated GIF

I've seen this trend popping up everywhere. I recently noticed some of my favorite YouTubers sporting this cozy invention, however their not the type I'm used to seeing. These new turtle necks are bulky and super edgy but girly at the same time. I can't even find the words to describe how much I am in love.

Winter styling tip: try a turtleneck

I am so glad that these bad boys are making a comeback and I look forward to some more trends that will hopefully make a reappearance! Have a good week and ....

Fall Outfit Inspiration

Hello Beauties (Bringing it back the old days),

You all know how much I love the fall time, so I figured it was time for another Outfit Inspiration. If you don't remember or you are new to my Blog I did a summer inspiration post a while back:  http://www.just-be-fabulous.blogspot.com/2014/07/outfit-inspiration-dressy-summer.html.
I am in love with this outfit. I have to say it is pretty  "On Point" and great for the fall time.

First off I kept my makeup simple with some gold and brown shades and red lips because, fall...duh. Starting from the bottom, I am wearing some light brown combat boots with gold accents from Rac Room Shoes. These are super comfy and they give me and extra inch ( making me taller than I am already). Combat boots are perfect for the fall and go great with my Wallflower dark wash skinny jeans. Next I paired a black tank top with my red-white-blue flannel from Aeropostale. It is actually made out of cotton material so it is very light and form fitting. Over top of that I am wearing this amazing brown leather jacket from WetSeal . It has detailing at the elbows and it is pinched in at the waist giving you a very flattering look. My nails are in the shade "through the grapevine" from Wet and Wild. It is a great mauvy (?) color and complements the look nicely. To top it off I am wearing a burgundy infinity scarf from WetSeal as well. Lastly I am wearing my large diamond earrings from Aeropostale.

If you like this look (as much as I do) you can follow me on my Instagram: @fabulouslyme21 and like it. Comment Down below your number one, absolute, without a doubt, must have fall essential this season! I hope you were inspired by this look and if your looking for some more fall inspiration I have a  Fall Inspired Makeup Tutorial on my channel now ,so be sure to check it out.

*Extra posts may be on the way this week so be on the look out!

Body Confidence

* Before Reading this, get comfortable

You need to see this:
View image on Twitter
Recently Becky Hopper on Twitter tweeted out this image of a Topshop mannequin. The girl to the left is her friend Georgia who is a size 8. The models thighs are approximatley  2/3 smaller than the average women. Isn't that just heartbreaking.  It is images like these that cause so much body insecurities throughout the teen and female community in general.

Body confidence is such a large issue today. It saddens me so much to think that there are people out there that are so insecure and non confident in themselves, partially do to images like this. Sure this may be a blog for de-stressing ideas, makeup and fashion tips, and some gif trails now and then, but if I don't use my platform to encourage young girls, then I am really taking the internet for granted.

The thing about body confidence is that its different for everybody. For me I am naturally on the skinnier sized of the spectrum. However with that comes smaller "features". So songs like Megan Trainors " All About that Bass" really upset me. Her talent is undeniable, but the song is suppose to be about female empowerment and self confidence, but with lyrics like:
  • Yeah, my mama she told me don't worry about your size
She says, "Boys like a little more booty to hold at night."

  • I'm bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny b****es that
Make me feel like because I don't have a big butt, that I'm not good enough, and that's it's a bad thing to be skinny. Every body type whether tall or short, curvy or thin, is beautiful. The thing is, we are each unique and so stunningly gorgeous in our own ways. Everyone gets mad at models on magazines because they don't show " the real woman". What is the real woman? Why should people get mad at them because they are naturally on the skinny side? Sure I understand their are cases in which they may of had a little "help", but if they're naturally like that, then are they not a "real woman".

I may not have the largest cup size out of my friends, I may be able to see over the tops of all of their heads, I may not have the butt to fill my jeans (thank goodness for belts), I may have the largest feet out of almost every single girl I have ever met, but I have come to learn that I .am. beautiful. You are so, so beautiful ( or handsome if you prefer). I have been wondering what I want to do with my life, and though I still may not be sure, I feel like God is pushing me to do something where I can empower girls and make them feel beautiful.

Homecoming just past for me, and even though I didn't go
I went to a friends QuinceañeraYou dress just like
homecoming.
If you have been reading my blog you know I love
to do makeup.
I also have a real talent for doing other peoples makeup.
So anyways I had a friend over for the first time and
she asked if I could do her makeup for the event,
because she doesn't know how to do her own very well.
After I finished I could just tell that she felt
so beautiful and I loved making her feel that way.
We had so much fun that night.

Its important as a female that we cut out the feeling of
competition. Instead of wishing you had her full lips,
or feeling insignificant because you haven't found a guy...
try to build someone else up . If you like what that girl is
wearing,
compliment her. It might be just the thing to lift her spirits.
This week I challenge you to give out 10 compliments.
Encourage them do to the same. Lets just keep it going.
See how you feel! Let me know your stories in the comments
 down below. And don't forget...

The Flannel Takeover + Quick and Easy Halloween Costumes!

Flannels, flannels, everywhere! Fall is here and along with fall  comes the flannel! There just so cozy and stylish and I just LOVE 'EM!!! Here is 3 Ways to Wear a Flannel!

Chic-ly Grunge:
Pair a black skater skirt with a white graphic muscle t or a crop top. Next tie the flannel around your waist. Top of this look with some brown combat boots, or black ones and a beanie for a more edgy look.

Trendy:
First take your favorite pair of jeans and a solid top. Top that off with a dangly necklace and some nice black fringe boots.

Chilly Layerd Look:
Button up your flannel and pair with your favorite skater skirt. Top it off with a cream sweater and your favorite chunky shoes.

Funny, Simple, Easy Halloween Costume Ideas:
*If you create any of these looks I wanna see them! Comment your instagram name or twitter name in the comment section and use the #BoowithFabulous!

Olaf: I am doing a video on this costume on my YouTube channel: Paige Terch, so you should definitely come check it out!

Mix and Match Monster:
I was this last year. All you need is some printed socks, a white t shirt, a black skirt, and whatever else you want to accessorize. For this look you want to look like a teenage monster. For the makeup I like to bring out my inner zombie and smudge some gray eye shadow on my eyes, maybe a red lip, and draw some stitches on your neck and on your eyebrow. Just have fun with it!

Your Favorite App:
If you have a color printer this ones for you. Throw on some black jeans, a black long sleeve shirt. Find a logo of the instagram, twitter, tumblr, facebook, or whichever app is your favorite and safety pin it on your shirt.

Into or Over It: Maybelline The Nudes Pallet + What's Up?

Hello There!

So, I finally got around to picking up "The Nudes" eye shadow pallet by Maybelline and I.Am. Obsessed! I've had it now for a little under two weeks so I thought it was time to do a review on it. I know I'm a little late on this, considering it came out this summer and everyone went crazy over it. Without further ado, lets just jump into it.

First Impression:
The packaging is simple and elegant. On the back it shows how the colors can be paired which I really like. Right off the bat I am really attracted towards to middle quad. They just SCREAM fall. It comes with a really cheap looking applicator, which I doubt I'll ever use. I think the range of shadows are nice and there are definitely many options. However I wish there was a mirror, but that's just me.

Swatch Test:

When swatching these, I have noticed that the colors are very similar to the Urban Decay Naked Pallet. However the pigmentation is not as strong whatsoever. That's to be expected though considering this is a drugstore brand. I do like that these colors are very buildable.

Two Weeks Later:
This pallet is great for everyday use. I have almost used it everyday since I got it. The only part I do not like about this eye shadow is that by the end of the day it builds in my crease and forms a line of excess eye shadow, it also gets very muddy looking. But other than that it works great and I recommend it . It was in expensive and a great dupe for the Naked Pallet.

_________________________________________________________
What's Up?
How have you all been. It feels like ages. I apologize for not posting last week. Last week I had too stay after school forever, I had two performances, and then this week I've had auditions so its been hectic.
Thanks for hanging in there! Have you checked out my YouTube Channel yet?
You totally should! I am planning to shoot this weekend so be on the lookout. Some Halloween stuff coming soon and some Special Fall content. I may even be featuring this Pallet :p...

As always don't forget to follow me on my social media links and have a fabulous week! Love ya!
